2 points (one good, one bad)
Bad:
I'm sick...with a cold I hope, and nothing more serious. I even cut class today in order to get more sleep and recover.
Good:
I'm going to try and study in Ireland this summer. Thus, every penny I earn is going to be set aside for that. Or at least, the majority of my money.

Hey, I learned a bit of informatioin I think I should share with you. Not sure where it fits in, but here seems as good as any. (P.S. I take it all is well on the electric power front with the onset of these recent posts?)
Okay, so back to bit of information. It will effect your Wednesday/Friday/Lent/Fasting. McDonald's fries contain meat. Yes that's right my friend: meat. I guess they paid a handsome royalt to a vegetarian group since they once claimed there was no meat and they lied. They say they use the meat to flavor the fries. Sorry, I guess fries are now out of the Lenten meal--how sad.
GAH
That sucks.
Well, does this apply to all Fast Food restaraunts? And could I get a link or something where I could see that info?
Here's the Link: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,165794,00.html and the paragraph:
"Nor are all of Spurlock's criticisms of them without merit. For a long time, for example, McDonalds claimed its fries were vegetarian, even as it continued to flavor them with beef tallow. Vegetarians and people with religious dietary restrictions were rightly upset. The company apologized, and paid a settlement."
And from McD's itself: http://www.mcdonalds.com/app_controller.nutrition.categories.ingredients.index.html#1.
and what it says:
"French Fries:
Potatoes, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, natural flavor (beef source), dextrose, sodium acid pyrophosphate (to preserve natural color). Cooked in partially hydrogenated vegetable oils (may contain partially hydrogenated soybean oil and/or partially hydrogenated corn oil and/or partially hydrogenated canola oil and/or cottonseed oil and/or sunflower oil and/or corn oil)."

There's the story about the lawsuite that brought it all out.
If you're fasting and you can't have meat...why would you just go to McDonalds to get their fries? That doesn't sound like much of a meal to me.
Because their fries are tasty good, and (well, up until this revelation) vegetarian.
Healthy? No
Meat free? I had thought so for a long time
Besides, a super-sized fry and pop have gotten me through many a day during Lent.
Ahh but should they have...?
I hope you feel better soon, Adam~and make sure you keep away from your sister. I need her with me on Saturday...
