Resarch Idea revised

I'm focusing on AP/CIS classes in high school, and whether or not they are making students write at a college level, as well as the student's perceptions of what they think to be a "college paper." It will be focused on courses in the Social Sciences, as it seems that many people in the history department are increasingly frustrated because undergrads don’t know how to write history papers e.g. having a broad thesis, don’t realize that these are empirical papers, etc.

Pre-lim testing options:
-interviews
-surveys

The tentative title is:
"But I get A's in English!: Writing in the Social Sciences"

If I come up with anything else, I'll post.

This sounds very interesting. I look forward to seeing how it evolves. Perhaps you could even present the results of your research or provide copies of your final paper at one of the History department's TA training seminars.

When you said research, for some reason I thought you meant "look in the literature and write an opinion" not "propose a question and test it" research. We should meet sometime to get your question narrowed down and talk about basic experimental design.

Nice spelling of "resarch" in your title.
